Family Movie Night
Pop some popcorn, grab some blankets, and enjoy a movie together! Consider picking a movie about a saint (such as Cabrini), about the afterlife (such as Coco), or another family-friendly movie.
Prayer for the Dead
In November, as a Church, we pray for those who have passed away.
Into your hands, O Lord,
we humbly entrust our brothers and sisters.
In a special way we remember [name anyone who has passed away].
In this life you embraced them with your tender love;
deliver them now from every evil
and bid them eternal rest.
The old order has passed away;
welcome them into paradise,
where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain,
but fullness of peace and joy
with your Son and the Holy Spirit
forever and ever.
Amen.

The word "corporal" comes from the Latin word for body. The small square linen cloth that is placed on the altar during the Liturgy of the Eucharist is called a corporal. The corporal's purpose is to collect any fragments from the Eucharistic body of Christ during the Mass. At Mass today, note when the corporal is placed on the altar and when it is removed.
