Go Fishing
Casting a line with the kids is a classic, relaxing way to spend a lazy summer day. It also helps us to reflect on the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fish in today’s Gospel. Find a local lake or stream and go fishing as a family. It’s an opportunity to get away from hectic schedules to enjoy the fresh air, learn about the environment, and even develop patience. Best of all, fishing is quality time spent together talking, laughing, and sitting quietly side by side.
St. John Vianney’s Prayer to Love God
I love you, O my God, and my only desire is to love you until the last breath of my life.
I love you, O my infinitely lovable God, and I would rather die loving you, than live without loving you.
I love you, Lord and the only grace I ask is to love you eternally...
My God, if my tongue cannot say in every moment that I love you, I want my heart to repeat it to you as often as I draw breath.
