Family Dance Party
We have a lot to celebrate today! The Baptism of the Lord and the Christmas season are reasons to rejoice. Play some fun music and have a family dance party. Take turns picking songs to play. You can also take turns teaching each other dance moves. Try a line dance or choreograph your own sequence!
A Prayer for Vocations
Gracious God,
You have called me to life and gifted me in many ways.
Through Baptism you have sent me to continue the
mission of Jesus by sharing my love with others.
Strengthen me to respond to your call each day.
Help me to become all you desire of me.
Inspire me to make a difference in others’ lives.
Lead me to choose the way of life you have planned for me.
Open the hearts of all to listen to your call.
Fill all with your Holy Spirit that we may have listening
hearts and the courage to respond to you.
Enkindle in my heart and the hearts of others the desire
to make the world a better place by serving you.
Amen.
Adapted from Prayer #7 from: http://www.usccb.org/prayers/p...;
When you were baptized, you received a candle that was lit from a large, beautifully adorned candle called the Paschal Candle. Locate the Paschal Candle in your church.
Write the text of Mk 1:11, “You are my
beloved Son [daughter]; with you I am well pleased” on a 3x5 card. Place it on
your bathroom mirror. Read it out loud each day when you brush your teeth and
recall that God knows and loves you personally.
The Baptism of the Lord is the last Sunday of the Christmas season.
